There's A Snake In My Boot!

I had such an amazing time helping to create Avery's Round Up! Every last detail was focused on Woody's character from Toy Story or western ideas. What made this event so spectacular was the venue. Rocking horse ranch was such a delightful place to have an event. They provided the best services and helped to create a flawless event. The kids were able to ride the horses and the ranch made the Woody's western theme come to life in so many ways! The view was spectacular and it was definitely a party none of the guest will forget! Below is a couple pictures from the event including a picture of myself with some of the staff from Rocking Horse Ranch!

The day has come!

After 6 months of trying to figure out what direction I wanted to go with my business, I have decided to put my fears aside and "go for the gold"! I am so excited with the sudden growth of my business! Of course a large part of me is terrified, I know that I am heading in the right direction! In the next 24 hours my new website with be up and running, and in the last week I have created a business phone number as well as a twitter account. I have 26 confirmed events planned for 2011 and I hope to book more in the coming weeks! As I near graduation I wonder what lies ahead in my future. Will I go part time at work? Go full time with my business...or maybe even find a whole new job in the hospitality industry. I have yet to decide...and when I do, I promise you will be one of the first to hear about it! Thanks for the support!

Alice in Wonderland

Every little girl dreams of being in wonderland! For this party, I incorporated the older animated movie with the new Tim Burton film. The girls loved the tea party where they sipped colored Jones soda out of a mix match of tea cups, found at local consignment stores. I created large mushrooms by spray painting plastic kitchen bowls and then affixing them to logs. Large and small playing cards were hanging throughout the yard, and butterflies with colored lanterns were hung above the tea party table. I incorporated fun, bright flowers in different teapots and added eyes to some arrangements to resemble the talking flowers in both movies. This has been my favorite party yet!

Antique Wedding

I had the pleasure of working with Sharon and Kurt for their beautiful Antique Garden wedding. For this wedding, we focused on the beauty of bringing a modern twist into the elegance of the old antique look. We used antique dishes for the food and candy buffet, as well as antique vases collected from garage sales for the tables centerpieces. We also used mason jars scattered around for flower arrangements and utensil holders. This was such a fun, unique wedding! The awesome pictures were done by Shannon Bailey. Check her out!

A Pirate's Life For Me!

Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirates life for me! This party was so much fun to plan! The kids came and dressed as pirates, ate pirates grub and searched for long lost treasure! Pirate music was playing in the background and the kids all enjoyed a swim in the pool with a large blow up pirate ship and blow up crocodiles! They also had a blast throwing “cannon balls” which were black water balloons! Pin the eye patch on the pirate was a huge hit and the kiddos enjoyed creating their own treasure map!
